52Frames is a weekly photography challenge emphasizing community feedback and personal growth. The challenge is currently hosted at 52frames.com, but weekly albums and interactivity occur on Facebook. Sign up and photo submission flows are linked from the main site but currently use Google Forms. There is also some educational content (mainly blog posts and YouTube video tutorials) embedded on the site.
52Frames has had the goal of moving away from Facebook for quite some time, due to the unpredictable nature of that platform and unsustainable growth of the project as currently supported. 52Frames recently gained the resources necessary to start working in earnest toward the goal of building a standalone platform. This project's aim is to inform the design of the new platform, incorporating current elements of the project as well as new features. By prioritizing desirable and useful new features, the necessary transition to the new platform can be optimized for all users involved.
